Mystery Wire

Does anyone know what this wire is supposed to be used for? Seems to be switched 12v and I've pressed it into service for the 12v lead to my HEI distributor for now but I don't want to find it's switched somehow and I turn on something and kill my motor...lol. It was not connected prior to me using it for my HEI.

I recall that is either for an electric choke or a power wire for a continuous duty solenoid for a dual battery system.

I think I have almost memorized evey wiring diagram for our F100s.

I was pulling my hair out all weekend trying to back engineer 50 years worth of Jerry rigging.

Take a pick of where that wire is going. I do know that other plug with the 3 wires is coil, temp sending and probably oil pressure.

The red wire plugged into it is the wire I ran to my HEI distributor, I was just wondering what the pigtail was originally there for. Electric choke makes sense and makes me think it will be ok for my ignition system.
