So in my attempt to swap a 360 from a 1970 F100 4x4 to my 1967 F250 4x2, I’ve learned a great deal, including using a front dump oil pan and tube. I am, however baffled at this coolant hose (and pump?) that comes out of the passenger side of the block on the 360. I don’t believe that the 1967 coolant config has this coolant tube coming out of the block. I’ve tried to find a diagram for the coolant systems for these two years, but I haven’t had a whole lot of luck. Picture attached. If there is a coolant configuration difference between the 67 and the 1970, any suggestions on how I can seal this, or incorporate it into a 1967 coolant system.
That is an old plug-in coolant pre-heater for warm startups. It was before using the now standard method of freeze plug heaters. Depending on where you are from in Montana, they would be used. You can plug it or replace it with a new freeze plug heater or a regular freeze plug.

Thanks for the quick response! I guess I didn't look to see how it's installed in there. Is it just a standard freeze plug port with a nipple attached to facilitate a hose? I assumed it was a nipple that's threated into the block, but I'll have to take a closer look when I can. It gets pretty cold here in my part of Montana, but once this girl is up and running, it'll be parked during the winter, so I won't need any kind of pre-heater.
