Bilstein 5100 stuck fully compressed

Put my Bilstein’s on this morning and one of the new front shocks - to my own shock - was stuck fully compressed. After a little pulling and jiggling it freed up. I’ve replaced several sets of shocks and have never seen a new one that wasn’t ready to extend once you cut the strap.

Do you think this is a problem? It seems to be expanding and compressing as it should now that I’ve freed it up.

I would say keep an eye on it and see if it starts leaking, never had that happen to me either but I tend not to worry too much about stuff like that.

The Bilstein web page has a help chat window. You could ask them.

LMAO! It feels like it is working just the same as the opposite side. I’m going to give it a month before I swap my 5200 springs for 5600 springs and if the resistance at that time seems to be equal then I’ll leave good enough alone.
