About 2" give or take Looks like 10 coils

Not sure how to measure the wire gauge?

About 1/2" OD
This info is worth exactly what you paid for it, so I'm not sure it will help you,
As far as measuring the wire gauge, in your picture, it looks like your wire diameter is approximately 1/16", so .063"
(calipers or micrometers would be more accurate)
14 gauge wire is .064",
15 gauge is .057"

AVF100 John,
I ordered a couple of packs (6@ two sizes) of McMaster-Carr springs that look to be very close. More to follow once I receive them and try to install them.

CrazyWheel,
I ordered 0.072 & 0.062 diameter wire springs.

If the spring is not strong enough can you shim it using flat washers?

BJ, when you figure out what size spring is best be sure to, as I'm sure you will, post your findings. Then others with your problem knows what spring is correct.
