door latch
does anybody know were i can get the spring on the latch.or does anybody make door poppers for the 49 f1.i would like to keep the stock door latch but i have had no luck finding new springs.

I haven't seen the springs separately either. You might be able to find used springs at a swap meet or from one of the other members. If it was my truck, I'd measure the spring and buy replacements from a vendor like McMaster-Carr. I think that is a compression spring, so you'll need the OD of the spring, the diameter of the spring wire, and the length. Go to the link above and enter the word "spring" in the search box. Then match up the choices until you find a spring that is close to yours. If you have trouble, post the measurements here and one of us will help you find the correct part number.
