Accel Super Tuner 49505 Speedo Correction Review
This is a small review of the Accel Super Tuner 49505. 2002 V10 EXT 4wd. My main reason for getting tuner was speedo correction. My speedo says 65mph but gps says 69mph.
With tuner I changed tire sizes all the way up to 37" (actually running 35" tires) speedo didnt change. I changed gear ratio with tuner all the way down to 3.23 (actual is 3.73) and speedo didnt change. So no matter what i did it did not effect the speedo even though it is advertised to do so. I also havent seen a review for the Excursions for this product.
I didnt get to test too much of the tunes since the main reason i bought it didnt work. I returned product but alot of places wont let you return this tuner. I can say that when changing tire sizes it changed shift points, on the 37" i was hitting 3k rpm before shifting which would normally be before 2.5k.
I would also recommend a charger for flashing. It takes 7 minutes to flash with this tuner which is very slow (self tune my BMW and can flash a tune in under a minute). This seven minutes you will have ignition on but vehicle not running so its possible to drain battery quickly and brick the PCM if flashing is interrupted.
You have four different tune options for Excursion, performance, heavy towing, 87 octane and gas saver. I have no reviews on those but wouldnt recommend tuner if using to correct speedo since it doesnt work.

Sounds like a royal piece of crap forscan can do the corrections you're talking about. And if you're interested in tunes as well get an SCT X4, you will be ecstatically happy with it afterwards especially if you add a couple five star tunes particularly the towing one the performance one didn't really do anything.

Forscan on PC fixed speedo with no issues..I went with the veepeak wired OBD because I have their bluetooth OBD that should of also worked but I couldn't get my PC to see the adaptor. Their customer service was surprising help full and I think the issue is with the PC not the adaptor (can see adaptor on phone).
Long story short the wired connector worked without issues. The process is pretty easy, once you have an extended license (free for two months) just got to the "configuration and programming" tab. For this year the option is in ABS module, there's two listed but its the one without the (). Highlight, click play and it will bring you to tire rotation per mile, highlight and select edit button. Enter valve then select write, it will ask if you are sure and then tell you to turn ignition off then back on.. Process complete.
Just wanted to update and say thanks for the help.
