Wiper Delay Problems

I bought the wiper delay conversion on E-bay, and now realize why I got such a good deal. It works most of the time, but when it don't work, I give the dash a good smack, and they work. They always work on high speed mode, but low speed and delay need a little persuasion. Does this sound like a defective governor?

It may be the governor, but check and make sure you have a good ground from the switch.

Does it work if you wiggle the switch? My bad switch would work when I wiggled it...

The ground sounds like a possibility. Does anyone know where the original switch was grounded to? I think I used the governor mounting screw to ground mine.

screw under the dash find one clean it up real good then try again

Welcome to the site
The governor is mounted to the the underdash just below the wiper switch.

Just so you know, you could have made your own thread instead of reviving a 3 year old one
