F250 side mirror lights

Sorry if this has been talked about. I replaced my side mirrors on my f250 stx with ones with turn signals and running lights. They did work even though the wiring harness has the wire for them. So I ran new wires to the running and turn signals. They work when truck is turned on but once I start the truck they quit working. I still have power going to them. Any ideas

Hi Jamie, Did you ever find a solution? I read your post a few times and am not clear what is going on. I didnt think it would bother me when I got the truck, but now I really wish they had the lamps due to safety reasons. The only advantage is that I will never break the lenses if they arent there. I really wish they didnt cheap out on the 21 XLs. These mirrors stick way out and need to be seen by other motorists.

I know this sounds crazy, but there might not be enough ground. I have put a couple different sets of mirrors on F150's, and had to add an extra ground
