Dim tail light... is it a bad ground?

Dim tail light... is it a bad ground?
The left rear tail light on my '83 F100 LWB is dim. I understand this can be caused by a bad ground. Where would I find the ground and how would I check it?

My 83 F-350 has all the wiring connections on the left side right in front of the rear bumper. A good place to start. If you can ran a jumper from a good ground to the ground on the light and that should tell you if you have a grounding problem.

Sometimes it is best to check the simple things first. I checked the bulb and it had turned a milky white instead of being transparent. I replaced the bulb and bingo... everything is fine now.
