I know this is a long shot. Around 1997 I sold a 1979 F-150 Custom regular cab 351M to someone in Michigan. I live in Canada. I'm just wondering if its still on the road. My Dad passed in '89 and it was his truck. I held onto it for as long as I could but then just couldn't afford to keep it anymore. The little tool box under the hood on the drivers side would be black with a Ford emblem pop riveted to the top. I know a lot of years have passed, so things on it may have changed, or it might not even be on the road anymore. I tried calling the folks I sold it to, but their number is no longer in service. Thank you.

Hi, I know its a long shot, but I'll check out the for sale trucks, thanks for the link. but good questions I've added my responses. About 4 years ago I started working at a Ford dealership just made me wonder about my Dad's old truck.
What city did you sell it in? Sault Ste Marie Michigan
What color was it? blue when I sold it with running boards, a white bush guard, aftermarket chrome rear bumper, snap on tonneau cover my Dad had put duel exhaust (no cat) 2 inch body lift a piece of checker plate steel in the box,
What was the license plate number" sorry no plate number I kept my plates as they were from Ontario Canada
What were the last 4 digits of the VIN? sorry I don't think I kept any paperwork that would have the VIN
also my Dad's truck was 4x4 F-150 custom
What condition was it in when you sold it? good condition, after my Dad passed I had it painted and stopped driving it in the winter, I'd also done the some work so it ran great ie changed plugs, wires, timing chain, rad etc but it had the original motor
What condition do you think it's in now after 24 years in Michigan? I'm not sure what condition it'd be in now the couple I sold it to (the Mrs was buying for her husband) and she said he was very fussy with his vehicles.
