Anybody on here ever mount a plow to a super duty with winch bumper. Live in gated community and it’s getting very expensive to have someone come and plow our road. Considering buying a plow and doing it myself
I think you might have a hard time with that one. I plowed for 8 years and was able to mount the plow and keep my brush guard on but I don’t know if the winch would stick out too far. What brand plow are you looking at?
I looked at doing it a couple years ago with my ranch hand bumper. It looked like it might have been doable with a western plow, there was another that there was so much adjustment it looked like it might be possible. I think short of custom frame side mounts it will be very tight, and a lot of weight up front
If you know who made the bumper you might be able to call and see if they know about any plows that might work with it. Otherwise, see if you can get some diagrams with measurements of a plow frame and measure your truck to see where there might be interference. I tried to do it on an 90's dodge years ago and the plow frame crossmember wanted to run right through where the winch would've sat. You're probably looking at a similar issue. If you're lifted you can run a plow mount on drop brackets to get under the winch, otherwise you'll probably need to do some custom mounts. I've seen them welded directly on a heavy steel bumper with extra plating and braces on the back side.
