Fisher snowplows has a fantastic plow for your truck. They make a special Light Duty plow (don't let the name fool you, this is a serious plow) in their minute mount style. It is made especially for light duty half ton trucks. I've installed plenty of them on f1-50s and they work splendidly. I can't recommend them enough. I don't know where you are, but here in maine, they're everywhere. Go with the fisher, high quality, easy to use, great to plow with. Have fun.

97? Would not do it myself. A few years ago I was looking at a plow for my F250SD and a fellow came in looking for a plow to go on a F150. It was a Western dealer, there are not many Fisher dealers around here. I remember the dealer telling him "Look, I can get one for you, but I'm not installing one on a F150. If you want it, you can do a self install, but I'd recommend a heavier truck."

I just put a fisher minute mount plow on my 99 f150. The real heavy unit, not the plastic one. Fisher makes all the products you need for this. BUT, I agree, I feel that I also need a heavier truck for this. I will take it easy this winter, just do a few driveways, mine, neighbors, parents, etc. I do not plan on any commercial plowing. If I could, I would trade this plow for a plastic unit.
