Where does this attach to?

I have one part of the wire loom on my 1991 F250 5.0 that I cannot find where it is supposed to connect to. Attached are 2 pics. The one circled is where it ran before I pulled the motor to overhaul it. The other is the connector on the end of it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that appears to be the connector for the power steering pressure switch

which is on the 5.0 to kick up idle when ps is being used to keep from putting the engine under too much load at low rpm

I examined the power steering pump, and associated hardware and cannot find any connection point for that plug to attach to. After closer examination of the plug it doesn't look to me like it was attached to anything based on the dirt & grime inside of it. I'm thinking that the pump may have been replaced prior to my acquiring the truck with an after market pump that doesn't have that option. I also looked at several pumps on line and don't see any electrical receptacles on them.
Again thanks for your time & expertise but since it appears to not have been ever connected I am going to see what happens with it not attached to anything.

It is not located on the pump but on the pressure line leaving the pump going to the box. I don't know how to draw a circle around it but the pressure switch in this pic is located on the far right halfway up facing the inner fender on the pressure line which is covered with black foam.

i did some searching too, it looks like only non e4od trans 5.0 trucks were intended to have it? Perhaps because the e4od electronic controls already handle idle speed compensation and the epc and adaptives for shifts would make the issue not-relevant. but, say, for example, a manual truck with a 5.0, Lets say you are trying to park with your manual, since there is no torque converter and the idle speed is generally lower, i think, you could potentially have an idle thats fine for most things but damn near lock-to-lock when moving a mile an hour, maybe etc your truck may be lugging a bit more since the PS demands a lot doing that, but the driver is worried about his manuver not his engine load. so to keep driveability good, Im guessing ps demand on the smaller engine that would suffer from that periodically is just then made less annoying/improved driveability with that. the 4.9 and the 5.8, 7.5 and the diesels of course wouldnt have that tendency as much unless you count huge tires, sucky gearing etc

Thank you so much for doing more research on this. There is nothing like that on my ps gear so I assume it isn't needed. I really appreciate your diligence and help.

Please review posts 7 & 8. The switch is on the pressure hose. It is not the gear. It is a generic harness and not all trucks used the p/s pressure switch.

That is exactly what I thought it looked like. The pressure switch is on the high pressure line of the power steering pump just as circled in the picture.

My Bronco has it too. I don't remember seeing it plugged to anything, ever (the truck has been in the family since the dealership).
