Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 22' F350 Lariat DRW because of what they offered for my current truck. All I can say it is insane what was offered. Not going to complain about a brand new truck coming out of pocket $12k and no payments. Will be upgrading the camper once again back to an Arctic Fox 990 as we plan on doing more cold weather camping this year and next. The weight and rear axle ratings are more than capable of handling any AF so that will end any hesitations of traveling full of water. Build week is 27 September so maybe by end of October it'll be in the garage.
Congratulations on your new truck. We just recently traded in my wife's SUV on a 2021 F150. I was also amazed at what they gave us on trade for her SUV. They also gave us a good deal on the truck, contrary to what you are hearing about them not dealing at all on the new ones. We found what we wanted in a truck our dealer had on the lot.
You new truck with the AF990 will be a good combination. Christmas come early!
You guys offer the only fun we ever get on FTE!
I'm married also, but Jeanie doesn't like the hips that you have to watch when parking a dually.
I don't mind watching the hips.
Allen, that sounds like the perfect winter TC setup to me, although I'm not too fond of the way dual rear wheels act on ice.

We weren't crazy about it either but after speaking to my brother who drives them daily all season as he owns an excavation company for 40+ years we were reassured it wasn't as bad as it's made out. Considering the wealth of information available to us and all of the comments here on this forum it was the logical choice. Floated the idea of a smaller 5'er as well but we truly love this truck camping thing. Only stayed at one campground in 2 years and most of the time we are able to camp in very rustic places. Sometimes nearby other truck campers. They are predicting a long cold winter up here so maybe I'll have some feedback on how it drives in snow and ice. Thankfully my office is only 4.8 miles away

Cheers!
I'm in same boat! I was offered an insane amount for my 2018 GMC Denali SRW Long Bed, and was lowballed, that I ordered a F350 lariat DRW Crew cab which is way more capable than the SRW Denali. My order goes in end of this week. 12/17/21 I'm told. I will probably be bout 10-12K out of pocket also when all said and done.
