My first Super Duty and diesel

Just joined the site and wanted to say hello. I recently picked up my first Super Duty and diesel, a 2017 F250 Lariat. It’s used to haul hay and my 3 horse slant trailer. I traded in a 2013 Limited F150 for it and I can’t believe how amazing these trucks are! I’m looking forward to many years of use out of it.

very nice! be sure to read up on the maint. and emissions systems, they are different than gas motors, but you probably know that being on a farm.

Very nice! Looks like previous owner took great care of it and dressed it up nicely. Congrats.

Yes he did. It was a very low mileage truck that had never had a trailer hooked to it. I put on the Ridge Grapplers and the tool box and side steps to match the Ranch Hand bumpers he’d put on it.

Nice to see them in their natural habit, doing work.

I feel sad when I see a mall crawler. So much wasted potential.

Congrats on your recent acquisition.... nice clean looking truck!

We too just made the jump recently from an F150 to a F350 PS.

On a side note, may I ask what brand horse trailer you will be pulling? Our weekend warrior will be pulling our Sundowner 6906 RS 3 horse slant.

Nice load of hay. I use square bales around here, Usually get the 3x3 or 3x4. I can't find kids to stack hay, So I buy what I can load and unload with the skid steer. Plus I can put out a 3x4 bale with the skid steer and not have to feed again for 15 days. Problem is all the hay fields around me have turned into homes, So I usually drive about hour out to get hay in summer

I haul my horses all around Utah, Idaho and Wyoming each year. Put a lot of miles on the horses and on the truck hauling them. Mine are used for trail riding to see what is on the other side of the mountain.
Good luck with your truck

We have a 1994 Sundowner Executive Series. I got a great deal on it and I’m going to restore it this winter. Pulls like a DREAM! You can see it in the background.

It’s a Tractor Supply Low-profile model. Not exactly what I wanted, but I got it on sale for 30% off, so I couldn’t pass it up.

Thank you. These are some 4x5 bales we bought and it’s really nice hay. We roll 5x6 bales that my father-in-law has invested serious money in to put out some super high-quality stuff! We average around 375-400 head of cattle, so we have to roll our own and buy every bit we can. My kids run barrels and poles and roping events, so we haul them all around our area too.

Yes they are. I wanted the Ranch Hand steps to match my bumpers, but they have a 26 week lead time right now and cost over $100 more. These are really nice steps.
