I just ordered a 2022 Lariat F350 Ultimate crew cab long box. They are 3 to 5 months out on delivery. Got what I considered a fair price. My 2016 trade-in was 45,200. Unbelievable as far as I was concerned. The 16 has 76,000 miles on it. I was told they get better fuel mileage than my 16 does. I hope that’s true.
Yes, I am driving the truck until the new on arrives . The trade-in value may not be exactly the same if the market changes much . I will have a few more miles on it though. They told me the trade-in value depends on the market at the time but they didn’t think it would change much. One ton 6.7 powerstrokes are hard to find right now. The dealership has always been very good to deal with. This will be my fifth new vehicle I have bought from them. Makes me a little nervous thinking five months down the road though. They did say when it arrives “ if the deal doesn’t fit then don’t do it “ that they can sell the new truck quickly anyway.
I would let them have the truck put the money in the bank to earn some intrest on it then there id the down payment. Things happen on the rode so be careful if you continue to drive your truck.
Yes that would be the best case scenario but I have a trip going next week down to Oregon pulling the fifth wheel and I don’t have a spare truck to pull with. I’m just going to depend on the price of his trucks remaining high. I am hopeful that the new truck comes within three months and I won’t have many miles on it but you’re right things can happen.
I ordered my 22 SRW F 350 on June 10th and picked it up last week (August 26). Two and a half months. I was surprised because I was expecting 4 months. Like you, I upgraded from a 2016 F 350 (SRW). So far it does appear to get significantly better mileage.

I’d be happy if my truck order takes 2 1/2 months.I’m glad to hear you’re getting better fuel mileage. My 16 got about 2 miles less per gallon than my 2011 did. Hopefully the 22 will get better gas mileage . How much better mileage are you getting now than with your 16 ?
I don’t have any hard fuel mileage numbers yet. Have only made it half way through the first tank, but I feel like I’m one or two mpg ahead. Hopefully I’m not just imagining it.
Ordered my F350 in mid August. Quickly got a Sept 20 week build date. Guessing yours will be quicker than you think.
That would be very good news. I don’t think I will be that fortunate. I read today that they’re shutting down production on super duties in September for two weeks. The dealer was not very optimistic about a quick build and delivery. Shortage of chips!
My dealer doesn't have much in the way of new anything. 3 F150's a few explorers and lots of used looks like auction cars. 20's sitting 21's sitting and now the 22's should be hitting the dealers.all at once.

How long did the higher mileage last? Have 1.1K on my 2022, and getting about 21 mpg, but it seems to be decreasing a bit over the last couple hundred miles. Still much better mpg than my 2014 which gets about 16.5.
Edit: I did switch out the 10w30 FF for 15w40 at about 1K - not sure if that has made a difference.
