2018 platinum with them and just as others have said they are not 100%, but still are better than the standard set up becase they can work either way.
They do sometimes not come on when need, usually after a fresh start, others times they come on for no reason.
the sensitivity is so easy to change, and once they start working they seem to be very close to perfact on changing the speed and the delay and the weather changes.
What do you guys not like about them? They worked great on my F150, I was assuming they would work the same on an F250 but maybe no....
Our truck’s r/s/w feature seems to operate at some variable intermittent speed or in hyper-mode. I’ve not found a reliable / predictable setting using the sensitivity ****.
Does anybody know if it's possible to add rain sensing wipers to a Lariat F250?
I ordered my truck from 2021 build options before 22 build options were available. So I have the Lariat Ultimate package and the black appearance package and a couple of other things that no longer look available for a 2022 Lariat order. At the time of ordering, rain sensing wipers was included in the 2021 Lariat Ultimate package, along with the heated steering wheel (not important), But the rain sensing wipers are NICE and somehow that option didn't make it to my truck... Does anyone know if I can add that to my new ride??
I am sure its possible but may cost you. I have a 2018 F450 and had the windshield replaced about 3 weeks ago. The sensor is located by the forward facing camera, so the harness may need to be added, new windshield if the opening isn't there for the sensor ( I believe it may be blacked out), along with the switch and reprogramming.
And I guess I am the odd ball out because I love the rain sensor on my Ford. Works great, slow if its a light rain and fast when its heavy. Comes on before it is difficult to see through the windshield. I hate the sensor on my wife's 2021 Honda Accord; the windshield has to be completely filled with drops before it ever comes on.

I like mine also. It works 95% of the time, usually slow to come on is the complaint versus the very seldom too fast. Our Audi's were better, but I'd do the Ford again in a heartbeat.

Best of luck!

This perfectly sums up my experience with it in my 2019.
Had a chance to try out the rain sensing today, didn't rain much, but when the windshield got wet, the wipers wiped, and not too fast or too much, when the rain quit, so did the wipers.
Going on first long trip in a few days, and pretty sure will be running in quite a bit of rain for part of it, we'll see how they do then.
I ordered the rain sensing wipers on my 2021 F450 Lariat but had to have the dealer add them as they were not found on the online selector tool. The option code is 60W priced at $165.00. They include the heated steering wheel. Initially they did not work right so I took it to the dealer where they found that the sensor was not placed in the mounting bracket. A quick fix and they work great now.
[...] Opinions are all over the place. Here's mine - they work OK. Are they perfect? No. I do get a random wipe now and again. Overall I like them but I wouldn't miss them if they weren't on my truck. I usually leave them off until I actually get into rain.
I agree with this word-for-word.
I think that it depends on your climate. In Colorado, we rarely get rain. Even when it rains, it only rans hard for a few hours and then is bone dry again. The wipers work great for that. I grew up in SW WA, which has radically different rain experiences -- frequency, quantity, and duration. I believe those variables influence how effective the wipers end up being, along with the more general truck-to-truck variation.
I had them on my 16 F150 and I loved them. They did come on sometimes when a bug would hit the windshield where the camera was but that was not very often. Because of this I just assumed the sensor is camera visibility. I also know if I left them on while cleaning the windshield at the gas station they never moved until I was scrubbing / cleaning directly in front of the camera.
I don’t have a front camera but I do have rain sensing wipers on my 20I7 Lariat. I am not overly impressed with the wipers.

I believe the front "camera" referred to in this case is the sensor/camera(?) located behind the rear view mirror, not the front camera that gives a view on the Sync screen.

Yes, the sensor camera is the one in the pod behind the rear view mirror, believe it uses the same camera for the automatic emergency braking too.
And, in my case, I really only ordered the rain sensing wipers to get the heated steering wheel, had it not been for that, I wouldn't have ordered them.
