Idle/miss issues

Hi I’m having an odd issue with my 2001 f250 7.3 auto. I get an irregular idle (seems like it tries to stall then catches itself and bounces around)when it’s hot out or truck is really hot. Only notice it when I come to a stop or after sitting at a light for a few seconds.Have disconnected icp sensor and it goes away. Have just recently noticed that it happens when my son opens the rear door as if somehow related to dome lights or similar? (Drivers door sensor has been broken for years)Maybe related to brake lights? Is there a crossover between injection wiring and interior wiring? I have looked at the main harness from pcm and can’t find anything wrong. Any suggestions as to where to start looking would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
patrick

The PCM does share a fuse w/ the aux power ports(cigarette lighter), not sure if other interior functions are on that circut though. Might replace the fuse and confirm the connection is tight.

Is there any oil at/in the ICP connection? If there is a oil leak at the connection, put a new ICP sensor on it.

Last year I had a slight surge in my idle after several outings with the truck at normal temps. Turns out the ICP as going bad, had oil weeping out of the top. Changed it and runs good again. Remember it is an O ring connection and snug is good. Maybe 15 or so foot pounds is plenty.

Also check the plug and pig tails for age signs.

Have you used a good scanner (not auto part store type) and pull the codes? FORScan is a good choice. If you have not pulled codes and made sure they are current and relevant you will just be throwing parts at the truck..
