please help.I was driving down the road a 1/4 mile from house and 1997 ford power stroke died.I checked fuse
#22 30 amp and it was blowen.I replaced it with another
and it blew too.I call dealer and they said it was a glow
plug relay.I replaced that ,but it still is shorting out the
fuse in #22 which handles the the glow plug controller.
lights and everthing else works but the wait to start light
I wandering where the dead short is causing this problem

On the drivers side of the fuel filter housing you will find a wire that slips on to a tap. This tab is connected to an electrical component that is mounted inside the fuel filter housing which is about the size of a nickel. You can safely remove the wire and then see if your engine starts if it does change this component. Also the shaft inside the housing may have left hand threads remove this so you can also check the heating element that lays in the bottom of the fuel filter housing.

where is the filer housing. ive goen threw lie k5 fuses today trying to start her up and still no luck. it only does it when its cold out and if its not pluged in for a lil while to.and i replaced the gloe plug realy to.so what shoudl i do know?
