Picked up this 2001 7.3 with 40k miles on it. No that’s not a typo, and yes it’s real miles, 1 owner. It had been sitting for years in a metal building. Just finished going through it and modernizing it a bit and am having some issues. Any help is appreciated.

The speedometer and odometer are not working. He had a superlift truspeed module under the dash. I suspect that to be the culprit. I replaced the sensor on the rear axle and no change.
The theft light is blinking rapidly but it doesn’t seem to be interfering in any way.
Otherwise it drives great and runs great.
the truck was lifted 22inches on 44s and had not been registered since 06. It’s legit.
P0478 - Exhaust back pressure is high. Check the sensor and tube for needing cleaning. They get clogged with soot over time.
P0500 - VSS fault. I suspect he tampered with it and its circuitry to put that lift on it.
P0460 - relates to the fuel level sender unit in the tank
P1139 - relates to the WIF (water in fuel) sensor in the fuel bowl. Check the bowl again, since you cleaned it, and ensure everything is back together like it was.
