Got a text from a local dealer today seeing if I was interested in a 2000 F450 Limited with about 35k miles….
I asked price and they quoted me $87,700….. big ole “no thanks” from me…. My new ordered 450 KR is in that ballpark. I will admit, you can’t find a new or used 450 at least around here with a search warrant…..
The dealer that agreed to sell me a 2022 for x plan pricing has 2021 lariat diesels 20k+ over MSRP. I sure hope they are not playing games with my pricing.
I bought my 2019 F350 6.7 Platinum on black friday of 2020 for $66k, $70k flat out the door. It had 8k miles. I traded to my Ford dealer on June 3rd for $74k with 13k miles. So $78.5k with the tax credit. I ordered a 2022 F350 6.7 Platinum the same day. My dealer gave me $2500 off MSRP on the 2022. My Ford dealer wholesaled the 2019 to a Chevy dealership who listed it for $85k! More than the MSRP on the window sticker. It sold quickly. Crazy times.
Same thing around the MidWest. I saw a local dealer has an 2020 F450 Lariat with 26k 'on sale' for $80. I only paid a little over $82k for my 2022 KR F450...SMH
My dealer is asking 5K over msrp on in stock trucks. Also, they haven't sold an in stock truck in two months.
I'm getting a similar sense around here, that any price gouging is going to be tempered in the near future because the demand is slowing some. Increasing fuel prices and lack of Gov handing out 'stimulus' money I believe will have a significant impact on truck sales, which is a good thing.

my dealer is getting 5 to 6 over msrp, he has been selling them almost as soon as they are unloaded from carrier
f150s are building up on his 3 lots, but super duties go fast fast fast at crazy prices
he is absent of any new navigators/expeditions or explorers.
lots look like a mis mash of used vehicles and lots of open spaces on the new side.
