Bearing noise?

Bearing noise?
1999 F250 SD 4WD, ESOF, i hear a noise similar to rumble strips intermittently. sounds like the LH front, will go away if hubs are locked. Buddy seems to think wheel bearings. Anyone had anything like this? thanks

You mean stuck, half in half out and the splines are just grinding away on the extremes. Might be time to disassemble, clean, and grease pack your hubs, maybe replace the one. Every year you should take the hubs apart and lube em up so they work 100% of the time and never bind. 30 minutes of work to ensure they're always there when you need em.
