I was having problems with the OEM hubs not engaging / disengaging easily and ended up having Warn locking hubs installed. Good choice? Anyone done similar or heard that this is a bad idea? I am hearing a noise still that seems to be coming from left front.... a metallic rubbing sound that I sometimes hear going over a bump or when coming to a stop... very slight. When I manually spin the front drive shaft (hubs free, transfer in 2 wheel drive mode), I hear the sound in the left front steering knuckle maybe?? I should think it would be silent when I spin that shaft, but I'm hearing some metal noise. Ideas?

Reason: misspelled word... drives me crazy
Have you ever replaced the sealed hub bearing? Sometimes the needle bearings will make noise like that. Does it make that noise while the locking hubs are locked vs. unlocked?
I have not replaced the sealed hub bearing or the needle bearings. So far I have only heard the noise when the hubs are unlocked. I don't have to lock them very often.
Someone once told me that if the noise goes away when the hubs are locked then it is probably needle bearings. I believe the needle bearings are replacable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
If you aren't familiar with the location of the needle bearings I can take a picture this evening when I get home.
