2017 f150 roush stage 2, misfire 1&8

Hello my name is Berkeley and I am new to this forum. A close friend of mine is having trouble with cylinders 1&8.

My first inclination was bad coil but then I noticed white smoke under throttle around 3500+ rpm. Needless to say I tested the coils and they were perfectly fine, there is no shift or bubbling in the coolant when running, the plugs are wet, and the exhaust smells of sulfur.

This leads me to believe it is fuel injectors as that would explain the wet plugs and misfire… and the heat in the catyletic converter would cause smoke and the sulfur smell.

And so I guess my questions are… am I right in my evaluation? And if so is there any way I could get 2 replacement injectors instead of the $300 set of 8??

thank you all for your time, any help would be greatly appreciated.

this is for a roush stage 2 supercharger and is the 47lb/hr injector

The symptoms you listed are an indication that the head gasket blew between cylinder one and two. For confirmation you would have to do a compression test to see if cylinders one and two are lower than the other six.

This would be true except there are no codes being thrown on the joining cylinders which would be cylinder 3&6, the only misfire codes are for cylinders 1&8, and the truck sounds fantastic it just spits white/grey smoke at higher rpm

Are you losing coolant and/or is the motor overheating.

Best way to check for over fueling is to monitor it with a wideband, with the O2 sensor mounted before the cats.
