That locking bolt is different from the diamond shaped ones I have on my 86' but it looks like they are doing the job.
I'm sure others will chime in soon.
May be that caliper is from a different year...? Have you asked the guy at the auto parts store ?

That arched piece is a spring to take up the slop between the bracket and the caliper. If you get a clunking noise while driving, that is probably from the side that is missing and would be the caliper clunking in the bracket.

Alright, as soon as my new lugs and center caps come in I'll take it off the stands and try out the brakes. I didnt find the pin on the proportioning valve, so I am curious to see how they do. I thought there was supposed to be one on the front end of the valve but it is solid. We'll see. That said, they certainly didn't just drop to the floor like before so that's something to start with.
