Ford F-250 5th wheel RV towing capacity
I have a 1997 F250 extended cab, 4x4, 7.3 diesel, E4OD transmission and 4.10 rear end. Add on equipment for towing: banks exhaust, air bags, heavy duty shocks, Gear Vendor, transmission cooler, new 10 ply tires and 16K Reese 5th wheel hitch. I want to take this old girl to Arizona this winter to buy a big newer 5th wheel RV and bring it back to Washington State stopping along the way. What is the most that I could safely get away with? I hear everything from 10,000 to 21,000 GVWR. I had a 35 foot 2008 Sprinter Copper Canyon 5th wheel that I towed all over the place without any issues. It had a fully loaded rating of 12,400 pounds.
