5w40 or 0w40

Hi everyone! My service package is up and I have started doing The oil changes. I will be using the Rotella T6, but living in northern Alberta (Canada) we get a few weeks of -40C and then a week later it goes above zero at times. In the Summer we can also get over 30C.

my question is should I be switching weights or just stick with the 0w40 Rotella T6 all year around as I have found 0w40 is good for -40 up to +40.

thanks for any input!

Stick with the T6 (5w40) as it is a full synthetic oil and will give you the protection you desire for the engine.

You better check the approved oil list of you want to run a 0w40.alast I remember only Delvac 0w40 was approved.
