Bought this for my son's first truck. Mostly ready to go but we have a year and a half to get it ready for daily use. Recent paint and bed liner. 302/C6 seem pretty solid. We replaced front end bushings/arms/joints and added 1.5 leveling springs. He picked the black steelies and started some customizing. Time to get some more miles on it and make sure all is good!
Welcome to FTE
I take it the truck is a 4x2 or is it?
Dont tell your son but I think it looked better before the customizing but then its not mine.
Build it the way he wants!

We are a little north of Charlotte. Thanks for the info!
It is 4wd. I'm not too concerned with what he does to it within reason, I'm just excited to see a 14 year old interested in learning how to work on a classic vehicle!
Charlotte is a little ride from Raleigh.
I dont know how many from the NC chapter are by you?
I think in the "roll call" area list where members are from.
I also dont think they go that far for dinners, think I have seen them go 1 hour from this area.
I will be watching what else your son has planed.
