LTL 9000 tandem dump.

Just figured I'd share my latest toy...'85 LTL 9000. 3406B Cat, 13 speed, Rockwell 44k on Hendrickson...runs and drives nicely.

1985 LTL 9000 with my buddy Kyle pictured. I'm using this truck to train him to get his CDL.

Nice looking truck, I remember the double hockey stick stripes on the hood and doors on some of the trucks back then, but the fenders didn't have anything on them
My 86 LTL had silver stripes of a different design

Yes, I remember these paint schemes well too. I don't recall, however, the extra stripes on the fenders...but then again I don't recall a lot of things with age, LOL.

Having fun with it though. I registered and insured it and using it for light duty work around town. Right now I'm doing a basement clean out on my own house to get ready to sell, and hauling the debris to the transfer station 5 miles up the road. Plus I am teaching a guy how to drive, so he can get his CDL. Perfect truck for that, with the visibility and ease of maneuvering. It turns on a dime. Really enjoying this old girl, always liked the looks of them. I'm a Ford man through and through anyway, so it's fitting.

Here's a photo of a friends LT8000 I replaced the cab and doghouse on recently after one of his drivers layed it over

Very nice paint scheme. Just finished painting the cab on mine and still in the process of laying down some stripes. Liked the look of a matt black hood top.

That's beautiful! Nice little Louisville, and good job putting it back together.

I've got a 1972 LN 8000 too that I haven't even touched yet, that I brought home about 3 years ago. It was destined for the scrapyard, but me being me and having to rescue every single truck I see threatened by the torch I had to bring it home. It's actually in great shape, interior is perfect, just haven't heard it run yet. Been sitting 10+ years. has an 8V71 Yamaha and a 13 speed. I'll get it fired up here one day soon hopefully.

When I went to northern Vermont to rescue it...sitting here in this very spot over 10 years, sunk into the ground.

Can not see from the pictures but shouldn't that be a LNT 8000 being tandems or has it a rear rear lazy axle ? Love the Driptroits !
