Question About New Tow Mirrors
Question About New Tow Mirrors
My mirrors are beat up and I’ve been looking at getting some of the 08+ mirrors for my Ex.
From what I’ve read, Trail Ridge is the popular brand, and I know you get what you pay for, but are any of the cheaper mirrors on EBay or Amazon decent?

I have Yitamotor from Amazon. No complaints. They don't vibrate but I have heard some report theirs do. One review commented on their support that they replaced one of his that vibrated on the highway promptly without hassle.
Ditto on the trail ridge from A1 auto. Been on about 10k miles now including a 6k trip with the TT and I'm really pleased. I don't remember what I paid and too lazy to look right now but it seemed reasonable.
I also have the Trail Ridge from 1A auto great quality and easy install. I have the 08 style with power fold, all you have to do is run a wire for the running lights and of course the wire for the power fold, rest is plug and play.
I have the 1Aauto mirrors from before they came out with the Trail Ridge line, have had them mounted for at least 7 years with zero issues, no vibrations of mirror distortions at all. From what I have read the eBay and Amazon ones can be either perfect or have mirror distortion or vibration issues, the track record of the 1Aauto ones seems to be somewhat better from all that I've seen.
I have the Trail Ridge from @1Aauto nice quality. Plenty of people here on FTE have them as well.
The 17+ is out and available too.

Well, you all are making it hard for me to be a cheap ***.
My truck gets about 90% highway. I’m really most concerned about the mirror vibration. I think that would annoy me too much to deal with. I also hate dealing with return (especially when having to remove from my mirrors each time)

Have you had them a while?
I also have the Amazon ones, if i am going over washboards there is some vibration, but otherwise they are perfectly fine and decently rugged, i already bonked one of them into a column when it was fully extended, it just folded in and had a tiny scratch on the back, not even noticable unless you are lookin for it. Mine are the 08+ style also.
I have the power fold mirrors from 1AAuto (going on 18 months now). Installation was not too bad. Most time consuming part was locating the fold/open push-button switch in a place to my liking (OCD). They are expensive (about $500) but rock solid and the warranty you cannot beat. Highly recommended.
Boost Auto seems to have good reviews, but pricey. $$ is what's held me back.
