Push Button Start Benefits?
My new one wont come with it because the tailgate step is out for me on this truck. Got the black package with led headlights and no bedstep.
Any other way to do that because I certainly would like to get the push button start and easy entry.

I had push button start on a corvette and really liked it. It sucks that one cannot get it below the lariat ultimate package as that package isn’t available on my build due to cab size. With the value package is the door keypad included or is that part of the ultimate package as well? Thanks.

Why is the tailgate step out for you?
To me that is more important.
I had that option in our 2014 Edge, 2016 Explorer, and in my 2018 F150. Never realized how much I liked it until I *didn't* get it in the 2019 F250. Suddenly a real key seems so clumsy!
Local divorce lawyers are taking second jobs due to the prevalence of this feature. Case one, no push button start: "Where are my %(*@#&%(@#*%&#@%@(@*& Key!!!!???? If you loved me you would (fill in the blank with anything, even unrelated to finding keys)" Case two, push button start: "Honey, you just throw this fob in the bottom of your purse and you never have to look for your keys again. I love you. (Queue the music and soft lighting fade.)
That is fantastic. When do the mirrors unfold? Ive seen some that fold in when you lock the doors then fold out as soon as you unlock it. I think i would prefer it to fold in on lock and not unfold until engine start.
we like it for a few reasons.
1– you can look out the window of the house and immediately see if the truck is locked. (Mirrors folded)
2- on tight mall lots it makes it easier to walk between cars with folded mirrors.
I’ve had this feature in our Lexus RX450h since 2015. Like knowing it’s locked by glancing at the mirrors.
Apparently I'm in the minority but I don't like push button start. Overall, I prefer less computer interface between my input and the vehicle's controls. Maybe it's just as reliable but it seems unnecessary and like another possible failure point. Also, I misplace my key more often when driving a push button. I usually empty my pockets when I drive anyway and when my key is in an ignition, I always know where it is. I have also worried that I might start the car in the garage with the key in close proximity but somehow forget to bring it with me and when I park somewhere get stranded, (yes, I know there would probably be a warning as I drove away but I don't claim to always think rationally).
Basically a traditional key lines up better with my habit patterns.

No, you're not wrong. I have it on my 3 current vehicles, F350, Nissan Leaf and Lexus RX450h. I never pull my keys out of my pocket. I'll never have another car without it. I'm spoiled. I fact for my Lexus my key and fob is a credit card device I carry in my wallet. Tesla from what I understand can use your smart phone. Some day soon every manufacture will have an optional app on a smart phone to allow unlocking and driving.

HTH,
Jim / crewzer
I agree the ultimate is overpriced. But after having the value package on my 2017, I selected the ultimate on my 2019 and 2020 when I special ordered the truck because I felt it’s worth it for me. The only thing on the ultimate package that has no value to me is the Ambient Lighting. Every other feature I would have ordered individually if there wasn’t a package with them already. Plus the LED headlights are a must for me nighttime driving rural 2 lane unlit roads. I hated the standard headlights on my 2017 F350, 2016 F150 and 2019 F150.
