I have a 1999 f250 superduty v10 triton and when I am in drive at idle it acts like it is starving for gas and wants to die. it doesnt do it all the time just random. Any ideas?????
Have you ever changed out your fuel filter? After that I would remove your air intake and clean your throttle body out, as both of these are cheap and can
yield amazing results if never done. After that then yes I would check your idle control valve.
Changing the fuel filter is not a bad idea, I was having trouble with my f-450, and replaced the fuel filter, but the old one was clean. Wound up replacing the fuel pump. Huge difference for mine. But my issue was the truck would sometimes not start. And had to crank it a lot when it did start. Now, it starts quicker with less cranking, and has better power at low speed, and starts every time.
