The IPR % duty cycle is a commanded value. There really is no sure-fire way to know exactly what the valve is doing with that command. Because of that, it is hard to differentiate between a leak, a sticking IPR valve, bad valve, wiring, etc. In reality, an IPR valve that fails to close like it should is going to behave just like any another leak. In many cases, if it is electrical, the only clue will be a specific IPR electrical code.

Well, I am finally able to close this thread out. Took a week or so but finally found the problem. The engine harness was bad.. had me chasing ghost all over the truck. Instead of figuring out where the short was, I bought a new harness installed it and have been driving the truck for over a week now. Thank you to all that provided input along the way!
