I took apart my C6 valve body to clean but I mixed up all the springs and parts. I need help to find where the springs go, any advice would really help.
the picture is good to see what valves go where but I dont know where some of my springs go. some of the springs are very similar in size. thanks in advance
I gotcha here are the photos I have on hand. A few things of note. I took these prior to putting in a shift kit and I believe one of the springs was broken (lucky for me the kit replaced that one). Also these pics are of the 1 off year of C6 valve bodies so there may be some mismatches but I don't think there are any differences wrt springs.
First 3 photos are the assemblies on the right of the diagram I posted.
The fourth and last photo (sorry for the sequencing) are of the bottom assembly on the diagram
All other photos are off the top assemblies of the diagram.
Unfortunately looks like I did not take any photos of the checkballs and their locations.
Wish I was there, back in the day I rebuilt a bunch of C-6's.
Take your time I think you will figure it out, the diameter of the springs kind of match the diameter of the valves but some are stiffer than others and that's where the confusion lies. Do you have a junk yard near by where you could and get another valve body? Take it apart and then put yours back together using it as a guide.
