I am rebuilding a 68 C6 transmission and on of my little helpers cam in and played with the order of springs and valves that I had carefully layed out on my workbench.
I am only concerned about getting the sorings in their proper places.
My diagram show the springs, but some of them seem to look similar yet have different resistance.
Does anyone have a trick or know of a better diagram for this problem.
comes with an instruction manual which has an illustration showing all of the springs with their lengths, widths and wire diameters. Some of the specs. didn't correspond exactly with the springs in my three valvebodies and there are some obvious mistakes with the info. I also got my springs mixed-up (a '77, a '75 and a '68) but I assembled my '75 tranny using the '77 valvebody and followed the Transgo spring guide as closely as I could and it works perfectly. Email me rheacox@earthlink.net and I'll copy and send you the pages and point out some of the discrepancies I found.
