I located a Bump in the salvage yard and scored its easy to remove driver-side bracket for use on the passenger side. The driver side is bolted to the frame whereas the passenger side is riveted.
I’m jealous of all you guys who find these trucks in salvage yards. I’m in Nevada and I have yet to find a yard that has any vehicles older then mid 80’s.
I just spoke with the guy who I'm getting the 73 front end from. I've got to take a trailer to get it. He just chopped the frame and I'm getting everything from the power steering gear box forward. A lot less work for him, and more work for me, but it guarantees I'll have EVERYTHING I might need. He said I'd get everything but the gearbox. I asked what he wanted for it and he said $60, so I said I'll take it too. I didn't need it, but for $60 I'll have a spare.
Downside is that means I have to drive my 70 the 55 mile round trip to go get it as it's all I have I can pull a trailer with. Ole Blue hasn't made a drive that long in close to 20 years! And has 12 year old tires. 😳
That sounds like a great find. Go easy on those tires.

Well, that was about five or six years ago. Nowadays, Bumps and Dents are more scarce in the yards. They do pop up every once in a while but not like before when there would be up to 10 trucks in the yard. Btw, Econolines have usable parts for our rigs so don't limit yourself to just Bumps or Dents.

I'm running Bilstein front shocks on my '70 F100. The part number isB46-1105 .... spec'ed for a 3/4-ton Econoline. Works fine.
