2016 Shocks on 2020?

I have a friend of mine is selling his shocks from his 2016 F250. He's only had them for 2 months and is selling because he's going with a lift. The price is too good to pass up, but this may seem like a dumb question, will they fit my 2020? Most places say no, but I wanted to double check.

The fronts might be the same, but the rears might have a different diameter bushing i.d. on one end.

This was certainly true for the 2017 model year. I can't speak to later years, but I haven't heard that there was a change other than they lowered the rear a bit for 2020+.

I’m thinking the same thing. The 17-19’s would work, but not sure on the 16’s. In terms of part numbers is looks like there is a clear split between shocks in pre 16 and post 17. It looks like they fit, but I’m not sure if the lengths are different and would cause problems. It’s a bummer shocks are so hard to come by these days.

The 16 shocks will work just fine on 20+ that are stock height and not Tremor equipped. The 17-19 sit higher and the shocks will not work.

What about bushing size? I'm finding that its 16mm upper, 14mm lower on the rear for 17-21, and 16mm upper, 12mm lower for the rear on 99-16. Still haven't found a definite lower size for the fronts to compare.

I do see an overall travel difference when looking at shocks for 16 and older compared to shocks sold for 17-21. The pre 17's did sit lower.
