Decoding Engine Parts

Hey guys need some expertise to figure out what year motor this is and a guess at HP numbers with current setup. I bought the truck with this engine in it so I don't have all the info about it. So sick of people asking me about the engine and me not having the right info. Might have to go part by part (block, heads, intake ignition etc). What I do have is photos of everything and can take more. Engine block is stamped E7TE above the starter. I have read this could be considered a 87 5.0 HO used in a truck or mustang? The carb is a 2150 1.08 venturi size with size 49 jets. The exhaust is cast iron manifolds with 2.25" straight dual pipes. Cast iron intake but not sure what year or type. Photos of ignition system. And not sure on the heads but added pics. It is mated to a 60's C4 auto. Any help will be greatly appreciated and any suggestions if something looks wrong or upgrades you would do first

block above starter

not sure what this number means

Hang in there I am sure some eng #'s guru will chime in. I know this that truck has had some electrical wiring change work for sure. Normally the ignition module (square box with elec connector) is mounted in the dvrs side inner fenderwell in a vertical position. And the starter solenoid is mounted up a bit higher and closer to the battery. Not that is is wrong, it is just different. So more like a FYI reply.

A bit of Google says this as far as the block #. "E7TE CA is the engineering number (casting number). 8H28 is the casting date.
That does not tell you what vehicle the block is from. That only tells you the vehicle the block was originally engineered (designed) for.
E7TE-CA = engine part (2nd E) originally engineered for 1987 (E7) truck (T), revision level CA. 8H28 = cast on July 28, 1988
Ford shares blocks among many model lines and models. The E7TE block was used in many F/L/M models, including the Mustang from 1987 through 1990.
You have to get the VIN from the top rear of the block to know what vehicle the block is from."

"There should be a partial VIN stamped on a flat pad on the top rear of the block (behind where the lower intake would bolt on)."...." The "T" in that casting number is "Truck". E7TE-CA is an '87-'93 F-series truck block."

A guy can read on Mustang forums for days...

Good info! The truck has had a lot of “custom” work done lol. Is this the number you are referring to?

I think so, yea a custom built rig can be a challenge to figure out what all came from what, year, make model. Can cause some challenges come parts hunting time.

"Look at the first digit of the Ford block date code, which appears like a four-digit code, sometimes with a fifth digit representing the engine size or horsepower. The first number represents the decade year. For this example, in a four-digit code of "5E30", "5" means 1995 when appearing as the first digit."

IDing the heads, pistons, and any displacement changes ie. bored .030 over and or deck height would be the determining factors on HP.
It has a Dura Spark II ignition system and a stock emissions era 2-barrel intake,
