I would definitely only use motorcraft for sensors and ipr. The 3875 psi of icp is suspicious

The pin isn't backwards in your ipr. If it were your truck will max fuel, then defuel all in seconds of ea other repeatedly. Sounds like a loud...obnoxiously loud lope. I did it once.

Ok that's good to know. Well I thought I would get an IPR valve from one of the regional dealers until I realized it would cost me over $100 more than if I bought one from the Ford parts website and had it delivered to the Ford dealership. I'll be sure to post again in the next couple days after I have the new IPR valve installed and tested. Thanks again for all of the help to this point.

Let us know how it goes bud!

If she still runs poorly disconnect the ICP and see if that helps.

And pics! We love pics! Show us that shiny new IPR!

WIll do. This morning I found a video on YouTube that showed the EXACT symptoms i'm experiencing. The fix was a new GENUINE Motorcraft IPR valve. and when I say exact symptoms I mean an ICP reading over 3800 PSI and an IPR percentage of about 4%. I tried again this evening to find the same video but was unsuccessful. I'll try again in the morning.

This truck has the same symptoms mine does. High hopes the IPR valve I'm getting today will fix my issue. Fingers crossed.

The larger package is a genuine Motorcraft part. The smaller package is a counterfit. blow up the image and see if you can find some tell tale signs that it's a fake.

How to identify a counterfeit 99-03 IPR valve

The last photo I posted identified the real and counterfeit parts. This pic will help. The real part is sealed in a foil bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, and then sealed in a plastic Motorcraft package with no mis-spelled words on the package. Yes the counterfeit package has a few mis-spelled words on it.

I'm sorry it has taken so long to post my results but on Thursday I took the day off from work and installed the new IPR valve that I bought from Parts.Ford.com and picked up at the participating local dealership. I'm very happy to report the new IPR valve fixed my problem. It is very difficult to troubleshoot when I'm using parts that I think are new genuine parts that end up being counterfeit parts that don't work. Hopefully the pics I posted will help to keep someone from making the mistake I made. I was extremely happy to find what I thought were, and were advertised to be, genuine Motorcraft IPR valves on Ebay for $116, that I bought 2 of them so I could fix my problem and have a spare. $232 wasted.

The local dealerships that had IPR valves in stock wanted $347 out the door. Parts.Ford.com had them listed for $216 plus tax. Ended up being $232 out the door. What a coincidence, that's how much I wasted on counterfeit parts. I purchased the real part Monday afternoon and picked it up at the local participating dealer on Wednesday. You may have noticed I said participating a couple times. That's because not all Ford dealerships have chosen to participate in a program that allows Ford owners to get genuine Motorcraft parts without paying the dealers 50% markup.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have been instrumental in helping me get to this point. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU

Very good to hear you got her licked. Thank you for more evidence of counterfeit parts, and what to look for.

I've attached your latest log from your PM today. That's got to be the most boring, dull, plain-vanilla wonderful log of an idling truck I have seen! Good work!

Thanks Jeff,
I was really hoping that when you posted it you'd post the nice pretty graphs you previously posted for me. But I guess everyone else can see the graphs. I just get to see the numbers in FORScan and drive the truck. That's good enough for me. Thank you all.

Happy to - nice graph below. Looks like these 238/100 injectors idle at 1.34ms PW - good to know.

I think I still have some type of problem. My throttle response is not very good. When I mash the accelerator I roll coal until the turbo spools up to about 8-12 PSI and then the truck really comes alive.
