I read an article where Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and sometimes Theodore Roosevelt would go on camping trips out in the wilderness, naturally Henry drove. There are some photos of their excursions, no doubt searchable under each of their names.
No doubt the Model T was built for its time, do pay attention they were NOT enclosed and had no heat etc---tough cars built for another time and more rugged hardy people. Brrrr!
That was cool. In the first video, the audio track was from the 1960s - listen to that music, and the narrator's choice of words. They didn't talk like that in the 1920s.
I think I'd find some way to try to sneak a couple of inches of axle lift into that awesome rig in the second video...
Plenty of 1960s car commercials showed even Camaros and Mustangs driving off-pavement, and sometimes at higher speeds!
