Was wondering if any of you have experienced a pop feel through the steering wheel going over bumps. almost as if something is loose.
Truck has 30k miles. ive owned it since day one. took it to ford for this and they put the upgraded steering stabilizer on it which i cant convince them it didnt help lol
I dont hear any sounds but just feel the pop/bouncing in the steering wheel.
Everything looks in place and seems tight
Done a lot of reading on this and seems the steering stabilizer was updated in 2020 and has fixed this issue on a few trucks. I had a friend under the hood pulling on the steering shaft while I was in the cab with my hands on the steering wheel and it’s the identical feeling that I notice while driving.

Following this thread, as your description sounds close to how my '19 with 20k feels. I thought it was a very slight binding and then release feel in the steering wheel over minor bumps and dips, but pretty subtle. "Pop" seems right.
Have an aftermarket dual steering stabilizer on for the past 10k and that hasn't made any difference. No lift. Hope someone can determine the problem, as it just doesn't feel quite right.

Gotta go through all the front end parts on these trucks and look for play in the joints and loose connections. The quality control of some of the ball joints has been suspect where you see premature wear and out of tolerance right from the factory. When you find the issues replace with quality parts not OEM, you'll have better luck.
Sound just like a bad steering shaft like many people report. Its normally accompanied by a loose tapping feeling in the accelerator pedal. Ford service departments are too stupid to replicate it. At least that's what most people report Ford telling them.
Theres an entire thread on this somewhere.
I have the same tapping feeling in my f350.

Yup. 19 F-250 4x4 30,500 miles. Same thing. But I feel it in the wheel and accelerator pedal...
