It looks like the latest Sync update has resolved the Apple CarPlay volume issue where callers could barely hear you. Did a test call with my wife, and volume was greatly improved. Attempted calls with both Bluetooth and CarPlay and could hear and be heard at normal volume levels. I hope this info helps and it’s not just me! Can’t confirm any changes to the Sirius traffic or other services yet.
Mine auto updated to 3.4 last night. Can’t say better than before, although the person on the other end could actually hear me now (sitting still), but it still is not as loud as Bluetooth.

Can you confirm what version you got via Auto Update? My "broken" version is 3.4.21098
That’s the one. 3.4.21098. Still quieter than Bluetooth, but haven’t tried it driving to see if it’s unusable.
This bug is one of my biggest gripes about this truck. I drive long distances and get lots of calls and have people ask me to try calling them back. Have to switch to Bluetooth which fixes it.
if this helps (or 100% fixes) the issue that would be awesome.
going to ask a (maybe dumb) question... our 2020 F350 is parked in our wifi range..... i THINK i am logged into the wifi network (should check)
previously if i recall correctly i could not get it to update over wifi.
and if I downloaded an update the instructions said the truck needs to be running for an hour to update.... not convenient. dont drive that long often right now.
how can i make the auto update happen? any tips and tricks? thanks!!

it may make sense for you to download the update onto a thumb drive and when you know you will have a 1hour drive, just plug it in and get the update taken care of.
I use CyanLabs Syn3 Updater instead of Fords WiFi update.
The latest version is 3.4.21194.

I just tried using the CyanLabs updater and ran into an issue. Once I get to the point of doing the download I can't select "reformat" mode, as it says to do in the video, its in autoinstall mode and then a get a warning that says "all data on the selected drive will be lost Lexar USB flash drive device letter drive"?

What model year is your truck?
Are you updating maps?
Click the start
depending on your download speed is how long it will take
I have all the files downloaded. That way I just use my cache if I need to to an update of downgrade for some reason

Thank You, I updated the first truck and it worked! I went for a short drive to see if the phone volume was corrected and sure enough, it is. I made call to the person who complained about the volume the most and she thought I was in my car. I'll be updating the others tomorrow.
When it says it will reformat it means the USB stick, not the truck. It reformats the usb stick to exFAT format and cleans everything off of it, so when the cyanlabs updater writes the update to the USB stick there is nothing else on it to corrupt the update.
