I held off on the previous update as I had the xm sirius travel apps issues on my 2020 F150 and ended up using Cyan labs approach to go backwards and all worked. Last week I checked Ford owner site and saw a version I was pretty sure not compatible with the xm sirius travel apps. Today looked online and saw the v3.4.21194 being there. Probably hold off on that update as I like my travel apps - particularly the weather map - not that our weather here in central Texas changes that much. My truck is a 2021 Lariat.
Updated off of the ford site yesterday using WI-FI, took about an hour. FINALLY after 3 months "Travel Link" works GREAT, no issues.
I got a notification from someone I trust over at CyanLabs who said this update resolves the Travel Link issue as well. Cool. Will let the update go through on my f250.
did the SYNC update (did not include the maps option.... i dont know how to do that, was not offered in the process) and off USB 3 stick took 10 mins plus time to prepare the USB stick (quite easy) and it seems to have fixed the problem
yay!!
Big thanks to everyone who has been on this thread. so happy the issue is seemingly gone. now people who call me in the truck can actually hear my voice when driving.
BTW when i did a test call after update, on wired car play.... when i pulled the wire and switched to bluetooth the pal i called (sitting in my driveway) said "your voice is exactly the same volume now on bluetooth" so fix is confirmed. yay!
downloaded and applied 3.4.21194 from ford owner site. install completed. thought things were looking good then noticed weather maps not subscribed under syn apps status.
have not performed a master reset. might try that.
truck does report to be downloading a tz file when I go to settings, automatic updates.
EDIT: did a signal refresh. maps subscribed and functioning.
