Variable Valve Time (VVT) or Variable Cam Timing (VCT)
Do you know if Variable Valve Time (VVT) or Variable Cam Timing (VCT) was implemented in the Excursion? It's my understanding this is something to be avoided if possible.
LOL, To my knowledge, that doesnt exist in the excursions, that was something from the 3V engines, and only the V8s unfortunately, since ford couldn't make it work properly on the V10s, resonance issues my butt. I love VCT on my 07 GT, its like a baby shot of nos when the RPM hits 2500-3000 RPM.
All the Excursions are 2V, unless they are a conversion from a VCT equipped F250(2005+ 5.4L), or had have had a significant motor swap from some 05+ 5.4L V8, which is exceedingly unlikely.
IF someone is referencing VVT/VCT on an Excursions, Link it or post it so we can debunk it.
