I have a 2016 f250 with a egr delete. The issue I’m having is when I slightly to some what aggressively hit the gas, to you a reference anywhere from 28-37psi of boost for anywhere from 3 to no longer than 8 seconds….. naturally a plum of black smoke however it ends with anywhere from a little to a decent amount of white smoke. Over the past few times this has happened I have been quick to learn if I quickly tap gas lightly it instantly stops. So of course I most definitely have been worried and have been trying to figure out the root of this occurring. Thought maybe signs of a head gasket going out but My coolant levels are perfect and my engine temp is nothing ever greater than normal. Then thought maybe turbo might be on its way out but the inside of the turbo and intake are clean and the turbo wheel has very very little play in the wheel. Also oil levels are perfect as well. The only thing that I can think of that’s happening is possibly my fuel timing is off or I’m have a injector sticking? Thoughts are the trucks continuing to providing fuel even after there is a demand for it and therefore what is not used is now being burned off as in result white smoke.
Nope no codes, Yes most definitely, the shop I take it to is just unfortunately over a month booked and I’m scared to bring it anywhere else honestly. I’m always in eco tune or light tow tune. Past 2 months pretty much on the daily I pull a 14x6 tandem which is pretty much nothing to that truck. Oil temp never gets higher than 205-208 normally got up to 212 today but that was with 2 hours of drive time and being 97 outside. Even 212 isn’t nothing to worry about. Coolant temp is always around 195
However that gave me a good idea I’m gonna leave the snap on scanner on it and do a little test hit since that’s when I’m having the issue versus looking at it from a idle
What are the balance rates supposed to look like? That's definitely something I just can't find online so appreciate the info. Mine are like neg or close to for every other one and even ones are around 9 or so I think. It's been awhile since I looked though
Load it up with a fuel lubricant and injector cleaner and drive it like you stole it.
mine always runs better and smoother after a hard run of pulling trailers.
This is what it shows on the fuel balancing….for the injectors it’s shows even across the board. Most definitely something going on this cylinder 8
I think it's the cylinder balance pids I was looking at but every other one was in the neg just a hair. I had no idea if it was good, bad or what. Google didn't give much info either and I think I asked on here but I didn't get a reply so I thought most of not anyone looked at that
