Market Adjustments

Looking around at various dealers online, I've seen market adjustment increases as low as 2500 and as high as 10K. Interesting thing is, none of these advertised trucks seem to be selling. Been watching a pair of Lariat Tremors listed at 97K that haven't moved in a month. What increases are you seeing in your area and are they selling?

We had to find a replacement truck for my daughter & S-I-l a couple weeks ago. He totaled his '18 F-350 Platinum. We were fortunate and found a '21 F-350 Platinum w/ the Tremor package close by. It was a special order truck someone had got tired of waiting for and bailed on it. They were able to buy it for sticker. No discounts & no "market adjustments." This is in northeast Florida.

A local dealer has two F-250, Lariat with Tremor. One is a 7.3l and the other 6.7l. They recently sold an F-350 Lariat w/Black package. None of the trucks showed any additional pricing above MSRP online. It might be a different story in person.

Been paying close attention to one dealer and they do not seem to be selling these trucks with the 5k increase. I would think it would be hard to justify this market increase (based on limited availability) when they can't even sell them.

Auto Nation Chevy and Ford in L.A. area were $7,500 over and now down to $5,000 over, and so were a bunch of other local dealers. Shout out to Ken Grody Ford , Galpin Ford, and Hemborg Ford who were willing to go with MSRP. No gouging at last check. One of them accepted my X-plan deal for an ordered truck.

Not only vehicles. Boats, RV's, OHV's, you name it. I've been waiting on a SXS I ordered at the end of April. supposed to ship 8/30 (allegedly.) Also read where the animal shelters are getting full of pets people got while locked down & not working. now they can't take care of them & are giving them up. WTF, people? This has/will affect a lot of different aspects of our lives.

They will be, but not quite yet. I will predict by late Early October, used trade value will be in the toilet.

I did the market adjustment thing once when the GT 350 came out at the end of 2015 I went into the dealer and they had this beautiful GT350 surrounded with the velvet ropes in the middle of the showroom with signs all around do not touch do not enter...I was in ❤ Didnt even care about market adjustment then but after the newness wore off man was I pissed at myself for paying that extra its dead money you will not get it back on trade in or when u try and private sell it. Never again for me NO MARKET ADJUSTMENTS
I even saw a dealer selling a used GT350 last month 2019 for 10k over MSRP...Made me chuckle anyways

One dealer here is adding $5k to the sticker price. This particular truck has been sitting on the lot for a month now that I know of...
