The warranty tag is difficult to read, but from what I can see
Y = 352 for 1966
R = San Jose assembly plant
763xxx = Oct 1965 build
D81 = Custom Cab Beige crush vinyl and Beige Ladder pattern
8M = Springtime Yellow and Wimbledon White
G = Cruise-O-Matic trans
A8 = Dana 44 limited slip with 3.54 gears
Some of my documentation states Springtime Yellow was a Canadian only color, but that doesn't fit with the San Jose Build. I couldn't tell what the DSO number was. It would be interesting to see if it was a Canadian destination.
8 (and 8M) was a valid color for the USA built trucks as well. Lower left corner states 8 as the last choice under the Parchment Ranger Package but anywhere it says All Paints you can put an 8 there mentally as well.
Lucky ain't the word for it. I don't see how the wheel stayed on at all.
Those hubs are unobtainum only choice is good used ones if you can find them. According to ND Ford never sold the hub separate from the drum. You need to take then to a machine shop and have them press the new studs and drum on together. If the hubs are still good.
They have to be the wrong studs for this application. I can't see how the correct stud could pull through a hub. There's a huge variety of studs available, someone just didn't take the time to find the correct replacement part.
