460 Engine oil cooler Question.

I have a 97 F250 HD 4X4 Auto. I plan on using for trailer pulling and snow plowing for the most part. My question is right now I have this truck mostly apart. Bed is off, trans is at rebuild shop, rear suspension is being rebuilt, Front end rebuilding, and some inside work. I have the a engine oil cooler setup off a older ( 1988 ) F250 with the remote cooler Vs the newer setup inside the bottom rat hose. What one would be better for what I plan on doing with my truck?

I like the old style. The water-cooled ones in the later trucks tend to fail and then put water in your oil.
