How do you carry your additives?

When I know I’m going to fill up and I remember to use my PM-22A, I pour the correct(ish) amount into an empty (dry!) water bottle so that way when I put it in the tank I can throw the bottle away and not carry around a whole bottle of additive with me.

Anyone else do anything similar or am I just weird?

I have a much simpler method, that is to not use any additives, then no carry issues, no bottles to fool with.

I use glass bottles that I keep in an ammo box. I reuse the bottles. I fill them with enough additive for a 40 gallon fuel-up, which is my typical amount to put in. I use glass because the plastic bottles I was using were getting heavily stained from the additive.

I use the plastic box from Opti-Lube that holds 6 of the 4 oz bottles. Refill from the gallon container with the squirt top. I make sure I wipe them down before putting them back in the truck though and make sure the plastic Opti-Box stays upright.

60 gallon Stanadyne bottle in the back door. Use that for two fill ups and refill with the gallon container in the garage. I have three of the bottles so I refill all once they are all empty.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who uses a secondary bottle. I only drink water and I only drink it from water bottles so I have no issues finding a new empty water bottle each fill up and not using the same bottle.

I tried keeping the PM-22 bottle in my truck but I noticed how much pressure built up inside the bottle after the truck sits in the Florida heat all day and figured that was a recipe for disaster.

I don’t use additive every fill up because sometime I’m out and about when I fill up and don’t have any additive with me. Usually I will fill up at the same gas station on my way to work and these are the fill ups I where I use the PM-22.

That's actually one of the reasons I like Hot Shots, they have the bottles with the metering cup built in so I don't have to premeasure or guess at the dose. I keep it in the map pocket of the door.

a bottle of pm-22 fits between the bed tie down cleat and the 5th wheel / gooseneck plug if you have that option. It's just tight enough to hold the bottle.

not to be a smart assss
but the title asks how do you carry your additives?

answer: by their handle

if i get fuel any place other than my normal fuel place then i pour in the right amount of "stuff" and leave the container in the tool box shelf that's in the bed

Nope, Not weird. I use glass bottles and pre-mix my Hotshot's Secret EDT and LX4 for a 30 gallon fillup. I found some 5 oz glass hotsauce bottles on Amazon with plastic screw caps that work perfectly for my situation.

I bought a small Husky bag from Home Depot. I have a few rags to keep the bottle upright or catch any spills or drips. It is tethered to the rear anchor point in the bed with Velcro. I use opti-lube and carry 2-3 of the small bottles at a time and refill at home for the larger jugs. I have a bed cover so theft is not a problem. If the bed was open I would just put the back in the back of the cab.

I use Archoil and I can measure and pour in with the 33 oz bottle. I leave it in the bed between my transfer tank and the side. I just started using it about 1200 miles ago, and mileage seems to be up .3-.5 mpg.
