CANopener...
Then the 360 version lets you look at the cameras all individually.
It uses different buttons to get the individual views, like it reprograms the volume button on the wheel to get one camera view with a double tap of the button.
At least that is what I read on the site.
The NAVIKS interface makes it possible to have the left and right mirror cameras come on with the turn signals.
That would probably be the one I would want with the 360 camera setup.

Why Naviks over Nav TV? Most of the posts I've stumbled on seem to say the Nav TV has a better interface.
If you don't have the 360 cameras that could be why. They don't offer a solution to those without the 360 system. There have been many threads and posts on this forum discussing Nav-TV. I was under the impression it was the favorite because of that.

I've been poking around this some as i've been interested in lifting the speed restriction as well. I only have the rear factory backup camera.
From speaking around with various companies, it seems the 360 camera utilizes a different CAN bus system than the single rear camera system.
The 360 system communicates through separate module behind the APIM that stitches all the cameras together. With this module, you can plug a third party interface into it to bypass the restrictions much easier than just the single camera that doesn't have the separate video module.
I can't confirm for sure, but it seems from what I've found so far the speed limiter for the single back up camera is controlled within the actual camera itself which is why there hasn't been anyone out there that has been able to come up with a solution to easily bypass it yet. The 360 camera system uses a different camera and its all controlled within that module behind the APIM.
Correct - when I called them, they told me that their systems ONLY with trucks that have the 360 camera system.

I emailed 4DTech about the views of the CANopener. Here is the response;
Pressing the Camera button will cycle thru the three front camera views:
-Brad

I'm not going to do this option, because I want to be able to look in my bed with the gooseneck cam. When the NavTV group buy was going on, I emailed them and they said that when I go into reverse the last selected view would show and not the reverse cam. I didn't like that.

My understanding of the Nav TV functionality is different. The way I understand it is that when the shift lever is put into reverse, you can select a view on the screen(or leave it as is). After that, the same view will show each time the lever is put into reverse, until its reset. So if you leave it on the rear view, it will stay on the rear view each time. Same is true of the camera button function.
If the last view selected was the forward view, selected by using the camera button while driving, I don't think that forward view will show when you put the truck in reverse. It will show whatever the view was last time it was put in reverse.
Having to push other random buttons and sequences is what I think has turned some people off to the 4dtech and Naviks units.
